The bridge of the U.S.S. SALADIN is very much like that of the classic U.S.S. ENTERPRISE. This 3d version was created by Sean Robertson and converted to Poser by Richard Duda. Other renders use the same model but converted by PTrope.

Every Starfleet ship in the original series had their own insignia patch. Saladin’s is similar to that of the Enterprise, but reversed and angled differently. The Engineering symbol is also reversed. This is because the Saladin is a single nacelled Starship and therefore uses the Doppelganger Warp Unit to maintain a stable warp field. The Omega symbol for the Starfleet Marines represents the idea of, “We’re the last thing you’ll ever see.” The green tunic is reserved for MACO forces which replace standard Starfleet security personnel on Destroyers.

Above is the first of my technical pages on the Saladin. I have since updated the design a little, noticeably around the hangar bay. I will update it in the near future. For the latest images of the Saladin, check out the front page and the first image on this page. |
